My daughters and I have plans to raise boxer/Molosser dog mixed-breeds. So, I created this site as a place to research and learn all about the various bulldog and mastiff breeds. I was greatly surprised to discover that so many exist.
The bully breeds; especially those mixed with terriers, are commonly used as fighting dogs. Let me proclaim this up front - I stand firmly against the disgusting so-called sport of pit fights with any kind of animal. That is not what this site is about.
I admire the legacy of the Molosser dogs; their bloody history which forged and shaped the modern bulldog breeds. This does not mean that I am agreeable to the methods used by people of the distant past. I admire a powerful muscular dog just as I admire a fine stallion horse or a massive muscular bull.
I am in hopes of other Molosser dog enthusiasts will join-up and share their knowledge and experiences. In this group it is my goal that we can share photos, stories and try to help each other with health or behaviour issues.
Even though I started this site all about the bull-boxers, I am interested in all bulldog and mastiff breeds. After all, a bull-boxer is one-half boxer and one-half other Molosser breed. Therefore, I started this site so as to learn all that I can about each of these incredible dog breeds.
Note that since starting this site, I have also gained an interest in the cur breeds.
Note also that I promote mixed-breed dogs above pedigree dogs - red-bloods above blue-bloods. This topic is also open to discussion and debate. All members are greatly appreciated here.
